Free Daycare Assessments

Every new dog starts with a free daycare assessment. It's how we get to know your dog, check they feel safe and happy, and place them in the right small group. Assessments are staff-only so we can see how dogs behave without owners around — you're welcome to drop off and collect at the end.

Full Day, Half Day & Ad Hoc Daycare

Choose the rhythm that suits you and your dog. We offer full days and AM/PM half days, plus ad hoc daycare for days when you need extra cover. Daycare runs Monday to Saturday, 7am–6pm.

Puppy Sessions

Our gentle puppy daycare sessions give younger dogs a calm, positive introduction to daycare life — building confidence, social skills and good routines from the very beginning. Learn more about puppy daycare in Norfolk.

Indoor & Outdoor Play Areas

Dogs enjoy a large indoor daycare area for play and rest, plus a safe, secure outdoor space with a 6ft-fenced perimeter for fresh air, toilet breaks and supervised outdoor play.

Small Matched Groups

We keep groups small and carefully matched by size, temperament and energy. This keeps the day calm, safe and enjoyable, and means every dog gets attention and a balanced experience.

Enrichment, Rest & Routine

A happy dog isn't just a tired dog — it's a fulfilled one. Our days blend structured play, enrichment (sniff games, puzzles, tunnels), calm rest periods and a predictable routine, so dogs leave settled and content rather than overstimulated.

Free Access to Our Indoor Heated Dog Pool

Daycare dogs get free access to our indoor heated swimming pool as part of their day (with owner permission) — a brilliant extra outlet for confidence, fitness and fun. Find out more about Swim Rootophia, our indoor dog swimming pool.

Doggy Daycare FAQs

Do dogs need an assessment before joining daycare?

Yes. Every new dog completes a free assessment before joining group daycare, so we can make sure they'll be safe and happy in a group setting and place them in the right matched group.

Do you offer ad hoc daycare?

Yes — once your dog has been assessed and approved, you can book ad hoc daycare days alongside regular full or half days, subject to availability.

Do you offer puppy daycare?

Yes. We run dedicated puppy sessions that give younger dogs a calm, positive start. You can read more on our puppy daycare in Norfolk page.

What are your daycare opening hours?

Rootophia Doggy Daycare is open Monday to Saturday, 7am–6pm. We are closed on Sundays. Early drop-off from 6:30am is available as an add-on.

Do daycare dogs get access to the swimming pool?

Yes — daycare users get free access to our indoor heated dog pool as part of their day (with owner permission). Learn more about Swim Rootophia.

Is your daycare suitable for nervous dogs?

Often, yes. Our calm, structured environment and small matched groups suit many nervous dogs. We introduce dogs gently and carefully, and the free assessment helps us decide together whether daycare is the right fit.

Do you accept all breeds and sizes?

We welcome many breeds and sizes. Every dog is assessed individually, and placement is based on temperament and suitability for safe group care rather than breed alone. Intact males are considered case-by-case.
