A professional groom should care for your dog's skin and coat — not simply make them smell nice. That is why we use the Herbal Dog Co professional botanical grooming range.
Every dog's coat is different, so we do not use one basic shampoo for everyone. We select products suited to each dog's individual coat and grooming needs.
For dry, dull or thirsty coats.
For dirty, oily or heavily coated dogs.
Designed to brighten lighter coats and enhance the natural shine of darker coats.
For dogs requiring a gentler grooming experience.
Products selected for the face, coat and visible outer ear.
Beautiful coats, carefully chosen products and a grooming experience centred around your dog's comfort.
Product suitability is considered individually. Grooming products are not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment. Owners should speak to their veterinary surgeon about ongoing skin, ear or coat conditions.
Please read these before your appointment — they help us keep every groom safe, kind and welfare-led.
Your dog's welfare and comfort will always come before achieving a particular hairstyle.
Mats can pull tightly against the skin, restrict movement, trap moisture and make brushing uncomfortable. We will assess your dog's coat before beginning the groom and discuss the safest available option.
Where light matting can be removed comfortably, we may carefully brush or separate small areas. We will not subject a dog to prolonged or painful de-matting.
If the coat is heavily or tightly matted, the kindest option may be to clip the coat short beneath the matting. This can result in a much shorter finish than originally requested, but it allows us to remove the coat as safely and comfortably as possible.
Severe matting can hide existing skin irritation, bruising, sores, parasites or other problems. Removing a tightly matted coat may reveal redness and can occasionally cause minor irritation because the skin has been restricted beneath the coat.
We will contact the owner where possible before making a significant change to the agreed style. However, if matting is more severe than expected and the dog's welfare requires a shorter clip, permission given through the grooming consent form allows us to proceed safely.
Additional time required because of matting is charged at £10 per 15 minutes.
Owners will be given practical advice about brushing, coat maintenance and recommended grooming intervals to help prevent matting from returning.
Please check your dog before attending and ensure that regular flea and tick prevention is kept up to date.
If live fleas or ticks are discovered during the appointment, the owner will be informed.
Where it is safe and appropriate to continue, we will use a suitable flea and tick shampoo as part of the groom. This treatment helps remove parasites present on the dog during the appointment, but it does not replace appropriate veterinary or household treatment.
If an infestation is severe, or continuing the groom would risk spreading parasites or compromising welfare, we may need to shorten, alter or stop the appointment.
Owners may be advised to contact their veterinary practice and treat the dog's bedding, home and any other pets in the household.
All prices shown are starting prices. The final price depends on breed, size, coat type and condition, behaviour, matting and time required. See the services and prices section, and we will confirm an estimate before your appointment.
It varies by coat type, but many dogs do well with a groom every 6–8 weeks alongside regular brushing at home. We are happy to recommend a suitable interval for your dog.
Your dog's welfare comes first. Where matting is severe, the kindest option may be a shorter clip. Full details are in our humane de-matting policy above.
We will let you know, and where safe we may use a suitable flea and tick shampoo. Please see our flea and tick policy in the policies section above.
